Hiring Disabled Persons - Why hire persons with disabilities? -
1. Increasing need for participation of disabled persons in the workforce due to the falling birthrate and aging population
A falling birthrate and aging population has led to a reduced workforce pool. Increased participation of disabled persons in production activities will fill the void.
2. Increasing awareness of normalization
Normalization means creating a society where people with disabilities can live and work where they want free from any barriers.
Normalization is about helping people achieve self-realization as full members of society.
3. Stakeholders' point of view
Stakeholders (your shareholders, employees and business partners) will think highly of your normalization efforts.
4. Company's legal responsibilities
Legally required percentage of disabled persons to total number of employees: 1.8%
